Internships - unpaid

Learn the operations of a history museum while earning both experience and credits from your school. All internships are unpaid and experience-based. Internships are offered by quarter or semester. To be considered for an internship select the department of interest, submit a resume, cover letter, letter of recommendation, and unofficial transcript to the appropriate person of contact.

WASHINGTON STATE HISTORY MUSEUM
Education Department

Education Intern

Assist with all facets of museum education from developing enrichment materials to working with schools and the public. Education Interns may focus on a particular aspect of education or rotate through the various program areas.

Requirements:
History and/or Education majors, Museum Studies
Availability:
Monday through Friday, 8AM -5PM, part-time hours vary

WASHINGTON STATE HISTORY MUSEUM
Marketing Department

Marketing Assistant

Works with the Marketing Department at the Washington State History Museum to design, create, and assist with marketing needs. Duties may include administering surveys, assisting with marketing campaigns, developing marketing collateral, event planning and coordinating, research, supporting guest services, promoting exhibits and events, social media engagement, writing, and more.

Museum Studies, History, Communications, or Graphics majors

Monday through Friday, mornings or afternoons.
