Memories and StoriesWould you
like to Did one or more of your family members go to the Klondike during the Gold Rush? Do you know any stories told by or about your family in the Klondike, especially if you or they were or are connected with the State of Washington? "Golden Dreams: the Quest for the Klondike" is about people who went north hoping to change their lives. Many who never became rich still had their lives transformed. Their stories became legends in their families. We at the Washington State Historical Society would like to collect those stories and share them with others. If you are willing to tell your Klondike stories, please fill out this form. By sending your story, you give all rights to the material to the Washington State Historical Society. We do not intend to publish your address, but we ask for it so we can contact you. We will edit the stories and post them on this web site and in the museum, and we could publish them in a pamphlet or other means. To read about others stories, please go to the stories page. Please be brief 1,000 words at most. If you would like to send your stories in by regular U.S. mail, the address is "Klondike Stories, Exhibit Department, Washington State Historical Society, 1911 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98402." Or you can fax us at: (253) 272-9518 "Attention Klondike Stories." We look forward to hearing from you and sharing your Klondike memories. |
